Pesticide & Environmental Safety
What are Pesticide and Environmental Safety?
Pesticide is a generic term that identifies a wide spectrum of synthetic compounds with biocide activity used worldwide to combat weeds, fungi and insects with the intention of increasing productivity in agriculture. As the result of massive global consumption, pesticides and their degradation products can contaminate surface and groundwater, with potential risks for wildlife and human health connected with proven or suspect toxicity of many of these compounds.
FDA Laboratories applies the same scientific, quality and compliance standards that are used for Human Health projects to perform its analytical support for the environmental and pesticide industry.
This means that all the analyses performed by FDA, on behalf of our clients, comply with the ISO 17025 accreditation system.
In addition, we apply high throughput work processes to provide the shortest turnaround times possible.
