Food and Drug Assurance Laboratories® is a state-of-the-art contract analytical laboratory that specialises in the analyses of small organic molecules. The technical capabilities of the laboratory are specifically related to the field of chromatography in the broad area of analytical chemistry.
Founded in October 2007, the laboratory is independent, privately owned and has technical experience of more than 20 years in the field of veterinary drug residues, pesticide and mycotoxin analysis. The technical staff is trained to operate according to the ISO 17025 standard.
The laboratory strives to establish long-standing, consultative relationships with all its clients, which provide value-added benefits far beyond the routine sample analyses. We seek to understand the needs of our clients both from a technical and business perspective.

Our technical staff is a highly skilled group of chemists with experience in the analytical challenges of Gas Chromatography associated with mass spectrometry (GC-MS/MS, TOF-MS/MS) and High-Performance Liquid Chromatography associated with UV or fluorescence detection. Our exceptional knowledge of the tandem mass spectrometry technique (LC-MS/MS) in the field of small molecules supports the laboratory's reputation for excellent technical service delivery in South Africa.
